GIVER Bingo Official Rules

GIVER Bingo — Official Rules (ETA)

Purpose. GIVER Bingo is a gamified giving activity that encourages donations to Empowered to Achieve (ETA) and celebrates progress toward student scholarships. It is not a raffle, sweepstakes, or lottery—there are no cash prizes or items of retail value awarded to participants.

1) Who can participate

  • Anyone may view and play for fun.

  • To have your play count toward scholarship milestones or leaderboards, you must donate through the main Donate page.

  • Minors may participate with a parent/guardian handling the donation.

2) How it works

  • Each Bingo board has 25 squares (5×5).

  • Completing a square requires a qualifying donation or action (e.g., sharing, volunteering) defined on the board.

  • When you donate via the Donate page, your donation is credited to the general fund or (if you use a student link/QR) tagged to that student’s ID (e.g., studentID=STU001).

  • Squares are self-reported by clicking or tapping the square after you donate. ETA may verify entries against donation logs.

3) Donation crediting

  • Use the Donate page (not the direct checkout URL) so your donation is logged correctly and any tracking tags (campaign=, studentID=) are captured.

  • If a donation can’t be matched to your play (e.g., different email), ETA may request proof (receipt email).

4) Board goals & recognition

  • Single line (5 in a row) = Shout-out on the ETA “Giver Wall” (digital recognition).

  • Four corners = “ETA Supporter” digital badge.

  • Full board = “ETA Champion” digital certificate + highlight in our monthly Impact Bulletin.

Recognition items are honorary only and carry no monetary value.

5) No prizes / no gambling

  • GIVER Bingo is for engagement and recognition. No cash, merchandise, or chance-based prizes are offered.

  • This structure avoids raffle/sweepstakes classifications and keeps the focus on student impact.

6) Refunds & errors

  • Donations support ETA’s mission and are non-refundable except for processing errors.

  • If you mis-clicked a square or have crediting issues, email info.1@empoweredtoachieve.org with your receipt and details.

7) Fair play

  • Don’t mark squares you didn’t earn. ETA may audit entries and remove inaccurate marks.

  • Automated scripts, tampering, or attempts to bypass the Donate page may result in removal of game credit.

8) Accessibility

  • If you need help interacting with the board or receiving recognition in an alternative format, contact us—we’ll accommodate.

9) Dates

  • Campaign start/end dates will be posted on the game page. Plays after the posted end date count toward future recognition, not the closed campaign.

10) Privacy

  • Donor info is used to credit squares and send receipts/recognition. We do not sell personal data.

11) Tax status disclosure

  • Empowered to Achieve is not currently a 501(c)(3). Donations are not tax-deductible at this time. Our application for tax-exempt status is in process.
