Empowered To Achieve

Service-to-Scholarship Guidelines

1. Purpose

The Service-to-Scholarship model is designed to reward students for giving back to their communities. This policy explains how students earn scholarship credits through service, fundraising, and participation in Empowered To Achieve (ETA) programs.

2. Earning Scholarships

  • Students earn scholarship credits through:

    • Verified volunteer hours completed with ETA or ETA-approved nonprofit partners

    • Participation in ETA-approved fundraising campaigns

    • Completion of program milestones (badges, certificates, trainings)

  • Service hours performed with non-ETA or non-approved organizations will not be acknowledged or rewarded under this program.

  • Scholarship credits are tracked in the ETA Student Portal.

  • Students may not transfer credits to another student.

3. Accountability

  • All service and fundraising activities must be logged and verified by ETA staff or nonprofit partners.

  • Students must remain in good standing (follow Code of Conduct, program rules) to keep their earned credits active.

4. Conversion to Scholarships

  • Credits accumulate until disbursement eligibility is met (see Scholarship Disbursement Policy).

  • Donor and nonprofit contributions may also add matching funds to a student’s total.

5. Transparency

  • Students and parents can view progress through the Student and Parent Portals.

  • ETA provides regular updates on milestones, fundraising totals, and scholarship growth.
